The Environmental Awareness (EA) component of ITAM provides a means to develop and distribute materials related to the sound environmental stewardship of Army-held natural and cultural resources. This component of ITAM applies to tactical units, leaders, and soldiers assigned to, or using, the installation and tenant activities, installation staff, and all other installation training land users.

CEMML provides graphic and reproduction services in support of the Army's ITAM EA component. CEMML has the resources to design and develop appropriate environmental awareness products. Properly designed products will help the land user, of an installation, understand the impacts of their activities on the environment.

Resources include technical writing, graphic arts, botanical and scientific illustration, brochures, training manuals, conference proceedings, and publications.

CEMML works with the installation personnel to create EA products that meet the specific needs of the installation. The installation has the option of providing a specific design for production, or have CEMML produce products from design and layout to content development.

CEMML has created products for installations including brochures, soldier field cards, posters, calendars, and videos. CEMML utilizes the expertise and resources of the Office of Instructional Services (OIS) at Colorado State University for video productions. The Television Services at OIS can produce broadcast standard educational programs using computerized editing, digital optics, advanced character generator capabilities, and computer generated graphics. Additionally, productions can take place both in the studio and in the field. CEMML and OIS have worked to together to develop videos with topics ranging from installation capabilities to environmental awareness. This collaboration has produced an award winning video for the U.S. Army Alaska.
